“It’s the naked GSX-R1000 K5 we all hoped it would be”
The GSX-S1000 is fast, fun, agile and cheaper than its rivals. That iconic long-stroke engine has the K5’s distinctive growl and wide spread of power. But compared to the best of the European ‘super nakeds’ the motor lacks lowdown punch and the throttle is snatchy.

Thank you MCN for making a good quality video without a lot of wind noise!
🙂
Great review. Much easier to understand and watch
The bike is fine, but where did you get that awsome sweatshirt Michael?
I see MCN are stepping up their video reviews! Much better! And the bike’s
not half bad either ;)
All right I have to ask… Where did you find that shirt?! I’ll take ten!!
It’s as ugly as anything, but I’m glad to see that it seems Suzuki is
slowly getting its footing back after so many rough years.
I wish Suzuki would make a new version of the GSR 750. It’s a nice
(cheap-ish) bike but the brakes are just crap and it could lose a bit of
weight. And they should stick with an analog tacho.
Ugly :(
It definitely does not have k5 gsxr power :P
MT-07 comes out and it was said how nice it is like a breath of fresh air
and to have a bike without all the extras like on the European bikes.
Suzuki do the same but oh no it’s slated, for me I’d have the Suzuki over
the European bikes, cheaper servicing, more reliable, etc etc.
looks good drop a bit of cash getting the sussys sorted
Suzuki was never a design powerhouse, but at least they had some gems in
their line-up, mixed with simple but purposeful-looking bikes. Now they’re
mostly terrible: Gladius (R.I.P. SV650), Inazuma, this GSX-S1000, current
V-Strom… The GSR750 looks nice, though completely undesirable, in my
opinion.
Too bad, they’re great bikes for the price.
Much better sound quality MCN, well done. As expected Suzuki have gone for
volume over exclusivity, delivering usable power at a good price. Ideal for
somebody like me who is looking for an all-rounder, mainly for commuting,
and whose priorities would be: fairly narrow for city lane splitting, able
to cope with a good blast down the motorway, have good fuel consumption,
cast-iron reliability and be quick off the lights. There’s no doubt bikes
like the Tuono are exhilarating, but reliability? fuel consumption? and
stop-start traffic? And I know a lot of people demand the full sportbike
engine in this class of bikes, but in reality how many actually buy them?
Erik Buell has offered one, let’s see how many units he shifts.
Try sayin that 3 times fast lol
MCN, are you telling me the B-KING is not a proper super naked machine?
not a bad looking bike aside from the “unibrow” look it has going on over
the headlight.
Great vid. Looking forward for the bike face-off.
nice hoodie
Just like a honda
still tuono for me!!
Looks like its got a monobrow
458 lbs
Go Neevsey
Looks like cb1000r
lol nissin and brembo brakes XD
Not bad. Still sticking Tuono V4 though.
Yaaawnn…..wake me up when suzuki has woke up…and build proper bikes.
