GOD BLESS HIM & HIS PARENTS…. I THINK HIS PARENTS ARE SOMETHING ELSE…
THAT’S ALL CAN REALLY SAY… I DON’T REALLY KNOW IF I COULD MENTALLY
PREPARE MYSELF FOR SOMETHING SO LIFE ALTERING LIKE THIS…. BUT IT IS JUST
SO AMAZING TO ME HOW PEOPLE JUST PERSEVERE….

Forte Strong says:

I show this video to my students all the time, especially when they are
down on their luck and they believe they can’t achieve measurable success
for themselves. This video starts to change their mindset about their
current situation. Great resource!

CAP Company Enterprises says:

Powerful! How could anyone in this world give this video a thumbs down?
Heartless human beings.

Ronald Harkins says:

What an inspiration and role model for others facing serious handicaps.
Never give up!

Linda Raymond says:

I feel very ridiulous right now complaining about small issues. One can
only pray for the fortitude he has.

The Frugivore says:

How does he wipe his but? Do you think it’s just dirty all the time?

Jeremiah Camara says:

Very inspiring story. I’m just perplexed about the 347 thumbs down. I know
that people are entitled to vote how they choose but what are they exactly
disliking?

Timothy Charleston says:

Puts it all in #perspective! Don’t ever give up on your students, no matter
what. Believe in them and help them get through all of lifes challenges.

Jason Borawski says:

Great story. Sometimes we lose touch with what we are all already capable
of.

Taiye Doherty says:

It is like the story of Moses leading the Isrealites out of Egypt, he ask
God how he is going to lead across the Red Sea, and God says, look in your
hands. This is true with everyone, you already have it in your hands

Maura L says:

The always complaining people are disliking Richie’s courage, creativity,
capacity, sagacity and hapiness.

g10118 says:

This is awesome, words just cannot express…. Just amazing. His parents
deserve recognition for being fantastic, too.

Amazing intelligence and dexterity.

Zachary Sochacki says:

SO…You think you’ve got it tough, right?

If only we were all this determined…

Hallow334 says:

Wow! With all the racial tensions going on right now it is so refreshing to
see a story filled with positiveness! Richie proves that all excuses in
life are worthless! No one can use the excuse that they cant be successful
because of this or that! Richie proves that excuses truly are like
assholes. Everyone has one and some stink worse than others!

I was raised by a single mother and although she did the best she could, we
lived well below the poverty level. We lived on the outer edge of the
ghetto because thats all she could afford. I started life out behind the
eight ball financially, but I was determined not to use the excuse that I
couldnt do something because I came from a poor family. I am the only one
of five children that graduated from high school. I then went on to college
and graduated. I paid for my entire college education by myself because my
mom couldnt afford to help. While I am far from rich; I own my own house
and make a modest 50K/year.

I am nothing special and if I can do it, then anyone one can. Coming from
my background; I am truly humbled by Richie’s story. I get so tired of
hearing people say that they are being kept down and they cant succeed
because of some excuse. That is total BS and they know it. Apply yourself!
Get an education! Go to college! And most important; stay away from
negative influences (i.e. drugs, people who use drugs, people who are
criminals). They will only hold you back from reaching your full potential!

Amazing!

Siphosethu Nogaga says:

Inspiring story indeed. Everybody can be something great in life as long as
they put their mind on the goal, put their heart to it and put their hands
to work hard to get it.

Eric Hoover says:

For fuck’s sake, what’s the point of even living if you’re this deformed.
You have to strive incredibly to do even the simplest of tasks, and your
life is filled with hardship, disappointment, and misery. This is why
euthanasia should be a common practice for extreme cases like this man.

Dan Brumm says:

I love this story!

Paul R says:

does anyone know whether there’s a connection with:

http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/HAC/pha/pha.asp?docid=1150&pg=1

His parents loved him from day one, I’ve no doubt. The whole family are
admirable.

I would also add that there are other, hidden, disabilities which are
harder to understand and therefore harder to feel sympathy for. Please
think about those people too.

Jody Sedrick says:

What’s holding you back from your dreams?

Atlantic Foot and Ankle Associates - Edgewater says:
