New Flying Car Design Unveiled
A Massachusetts company releases plans for a flying, helicopter appearing car.
Flying cars seem to be inevitable at some point in future.
Terrafugia, an aerospace company in Massachusetts has released their newest design for a futuristic vehicle that resembles a helicopter.
Name the TF-X, the vehicle can drive like any other automobile on the ground. When ready to hit the skies, drivers only need to find a large parking lot or helipad for takeoff rather than requiring a runway.
Utilizing tilt-rotor technology the vehicle would lift almost vertically. The propellers would then shift from that vertical position to horizontal while the car slash plane is in the air. A spokesperson at Terrafugia stated "We felt this was our time to share our vision of the future. If you don't start today, it won't happen."
Cars aren't just for looks and road usage anymore. Last year, a top competitor for the unofficial Amphibious World Speed Record Competition was a vehicle named the Sea Lion.
Described as the potential World's Fastest Amphibious Car, it's equipped with gears that have a top land speed of 180 miles per hour and it was clocked in at 60 miles per hour in the water.

This idea is as old as airplanes and automobiles. And every 20 years
somebody comes along with a flying car, because “obviously” in the future
will all be flying our own airplane, helicopter, jet belt.
It’l never happen. People are barely able to get through ground traffic
alive.
It’s crazy to think that everyone will be learning how to fly these things.
We already have the technology for cars to drive themselves. It only makes
sense that something as complex and dangerous as a “flying car” would also
be auto-piloted by the time it becomes affordable for most of us.
People are still trying to figure out how to move a picture from their cell
phone to their computer, and you think they’ll learn how to fly one of
these?! Uhhhh…yeahhh…riggghhhtttt.. LOL Hint: in the future things
will be done FOR us.

FUI – Flying Under the Influence – Right. Think of all of the regulation
needed for ‘air commuting’, ‘water commuting’, etc. Can you imagine Road
Rage in the air? Rush hour traffic in the air……….Yeah, OK. And we
have how many traffic accidents in this country per year? we have how many
drunk driving accidents in this country per year? We will need to ‘grow
up’ before we can play with these ‘big toys’.

detached from reality whoever designed this is. The “product” appears to
have been designed by a teenager well versed in SolidWorks but no real
knowledge in flying vehicles.

It’s a good idea, but it will never happen.
We will never get to do this.just imagine 1000s of these in the sky lol,it

I wish Terrafugia would put their transition on sale before they start
ambitious plans to make something else!
Um … no, flying cars are not inevitable. Like teleportation, it’s a cool
idea and great sci-fi fodder, but extremely unrealistic. Millions of people
flying above you at breakneck speed? Yeah … that’s gonna happen. Most
people can’t even use a turn signal or not tailgate. Can you imagine the
types of crashes we’d have? This is just not feasible … ever. By the time
that we would get to a point in our evolution where we could handle
something like this, we’ll be traveling via wormholes that we create in our
minds. lol
lol its funny how they talk about this existing in real world. maybe it
does but we dont see anyone driving this,??…. Just put this in a game
will driving it in no time
