Piotr Kula says:

Surely after degreaser, chain cleaner and scrub like that we need to put
some chain lube on? (not WD40)

Sporticus Sporticus says:

Excellent! Love this video, now off to clean my mucky bike
Thanks.

Johnnie Ward says:

That is one sexy looking bike!

NomadLad says:

Honest question from a new rider… Is it ok to spray water directly on the
chain like that? I thought that you could end up trapping water in the
wrong places, or will the application of the lube sort this out??

taylorattwoodmusic says:

I wouldn’t recommend sponges, use a quality microfibre tool and I have two
– 1 for wheels/ engine and other for body plastics etc

Self Made Documentary says:

Would you recommend Muc Off products for motorbike cleaning

Leo Veroude says:

cleaning overkill ! Simplify ! 1- hose down bike 2- using regular car suds,
soak front of bike (where bugs are)no sponges, use microfibre mitt 3 wash
all glossy surfaces, return to front of bike & scrub bugs 4- same suds,
clean lesser parts (different, cheap wash mitt) leave sprocket/chain alone!
5- hose off 6-BLOW DRY!!! (or quick ride on clean, dry street) 7- buff a
bit (if needed) DONE ! Expected better from MCN. The blow drying is VITAL!
Park your bike after a wash without it and water remains between body
and/or metal parts, under screw heads, etc and corrosion will soon follow!
Use a leaf blower (safe distance) or air compressor (set not too high)
Leave the sprockets and chains alone, unless you were off roading. Use
Fluid Film brand lubricant regularly on your chain and it won’t be as black
& greasy looking. Clean chain & both sprockets end of season, if you are a
fairweather rider. I use WD40 for loosening stuck on “hardened” lubricant,
but never as a “final” chain lubricant. Just my opinion, hope it helps. Leo

shaneweightman says:

i bought some was sucked in by this video,, the best bit i thought was the
empty plastic spray bottle your left with , did the wifes car wheels then
my bike and my honest opion is the stuff is rubbish, a cheap fairy liquid
would do a better job,, believe me or the hype its crap

Anthony Idderis says:

Cuppa replaced with a cigarette…

Shane Dimok says:

this is the right way folks, either way due to time lapse, paint will
eventually get swirl marks / scratch, its just part of the paint job life

trebaczkiewicz says:

… and if you are real biker and you ride every day try doing it every
day!

James Haley says:

Good video but muc off shouldn’t be used on bikes there known to take
lacquer of stickers

NYPIZZA says:

You can tell they’re getting paid for this because the audio and video
quality is good..

Ellis01234567890 says:

Easiest way to clean your bike… Go for a ride in the rain.

smiddyboy10 says:

missed the final step on having to clean your drive now you’ve got all that
shit from your chain onto it.

myncicyclediaries says:

Thats how i do it too except i use a dilute generic truck wash which does
exactly the same job of dissolving grease and grime at about a 20th of the
price.

Oxy Moron says:

thats like asking why does a blind man need a guide dog!

James Trivett says:

not necessary, the chain should be lubed immediately after a ride when the
chain is still warm, this allows the lube to penetrate the rollers easier,
if you do it after you’ve washed the bike the chain will be cold.

BMW motorrad power says:

When the block is hot wash!

macsporran says:

oh I WANT a drive with a hose too!

Fatum911 says:

Would be nice if it was done on an actual dirty and filthy bike. Not one
that just got out of a showroom…

ferrarikg says:

Great. enjoyed the video

Joseph Peoples says:

Why not just use sandpaper. It’s quicker.

PlanetPowerHD says:

that’s how i wash my bike too, except for the kettle part . I prefer to
roll joints instead .

Oxy Moron says:

Or there is people who take pride in their bikes man.

Maher Mneimneh says:

Guys what cell phone holder is that?

Sevenf says:

should’ve added the scene about chain lube 😛

josepca89 says:

hahaha what NICE VID MCN

thecarbonhornet s says:

I cant say about the rest of the cleaning products but the Chain cleaner is
the worst i have ever used. The word to describe it would be s***. A chain
cleaner that actually works is the new wd40 chain cleaner.

Scott Straughan says:

Maybe be an ad… But a very good one at that. Well made video!

silence6210 says:

Now that you spent all day washing your bike… This is faster then
spending all day washing your bike how again? My philosophy, time spent
cleaning it, was time you could have been riding it.

Thunder Child says:

Forget your cups of tea, you deserve a beer for making a decent video, with
great angles, pan shots, music and content. You’re okay MCN… you’re okay.

TheSighBored says:

Cool video. Can you advise what camera make and model you used?

Mark Robbins says:

It’s part of our history:- our country was built on tea trade, it was still
a major trading commodity when the empire was forged. If funded our wars
with the French for hundreds of years too, so I guess we ended up having to
drink a lot of it! Not sure why tea and not coffee – they have probably
been around as long as each other… Any historians want to chip in???

James Trivett says:

then you are doing it incorrectly, if you don’t soften the dirt with water
first, you’ll just end up rubbing the fine particles of dirt into the
paintwork and lacquer finishes – whilst it may look ok now, it will make
the appearance of the bike ‘age’ much faster.

Weird Wacky Wonderfool says:

Dont clean it with that crap, waste half an hour, watch my vid on the quick
and effective 5 minute clean, far superior to this method

Khalid Hasan Walid says:

Can you make a video that how to open the gas cap, if it’s stuck?

WylieCoyote45 says:

Ask any cycle mechanic what Muc-Off does to your bike, it bloody eats it!!
Use Fenwicks or Hope Sh1t Shifter instead.

Smudge1100xx says:

By the way Muc Off is nowhere near as strong these days. And a 5 litre
container will literally last forever. Even with a second wash.

I Design Websites says:

I don’t use any water to clean my bike. Just Scottoiler FS 365, microfibre
clothes, WD40 and some Muc-Off. The only bit I clean with water – well
actually just damp cloth is the seat. Works great and protects the bike
from corrosion.

Jacob Joseph says:

Why are the English as a nation so obsessed with tea?

jaustinuk says:

I tend to use Muc off as a first wash all over the bike then use Gunk
engine degreaser on all proper dirty areas works best for me 🙂

paulotex19 says:

You should be riding, not cleaning the bike!

CHeWy says:

If you wanna scratch your bike to hell use a sponge. If not use a
microfiber mitt and lambswool mitt, the lube the chain….

Theodor Held von Gut says:

can’t say how it is in the UK, but over here in germany this sort of
cleaning (at home or on public streets) is illegal as it is environmental
pollution. 🙁

jaustinuk says:

I prefer to shoot up.

Cristian Capello says:

Hi friends, someone I could say what kind of products they use in their
motorcycles chassis for washing, painting and the chain suppose to be
difeferentes products. The one that worries me is the one used to clean the
caden. Here in Buenos Aires but there is WD40 loosens orings say, is not
it?. Thank you for your help.

thm4855 says:

I dont smoke so I,ll have a brandy instead. ThM – Norway

Spearfisher1970 says:

Gosh, there is no way I’ll ever join the ‘clean bike’ camp. I barely have
enough time to ride for enjoyment on my one day off a week, and use my
bikes for commuting any day I can. I guess there is a big difference
between people who ride just to ride, and people who ride as a past-time.

QWILDER says:

Lunrication of the chain?? Isn’t that important??
