Barry Keaveney says:

I was looking for a motorcycle review….

Robin Michalik says:

Had a CB500F for about 4800km, It was fun for a couple of months but after
2 weeks I was already scraping the pegs on just about every roundabout, or
fast-ish corner… and after a m halfway the turn…

Ended up trading it in for a ninja 300, and havn’t had anny regrets. Less
power down low, but way more fun to wind out to 13k rpm, and so much more
fun to take to the twisty’s since now I can really lean into the turn and
still have more left in reserve :D, Also, I don’t bang in the rev limiter
halfway the turn and my cornering speed a a lot higher with the ninja.

CDLEGO uki says:

doing my a2 lesson on the 500f , comfort to ride great power to control
moving from a 125 , I’m 5.8 and the just touch the flour with both feet,
great around town and nimble. thinking of going for the 500x.

larslabanlaban says:

Awesome review and excellent video editing!

HBWFitness says:

who actually restricts a bike tho?

hung huge says:

This is a square engine. It redlines at 8500. Does anyone else think it’s
been artificially limited down so it doesn’t blow the licence power
restriction to bits? I’ll bet there’s another 10-20hp in that engine just
waiting for a derestrict kit of some kind. Remember the 12hp 125’s that
would make 30+ with an exhaust and jet swap?

bobmamipoko says:

wow, you talk fast. good review.

korlum chukhu says:

500 cc but still 180km/h of top end …. not good at all .. ninja 300 is
faster .. atleast cbr 500 r shoul have been 220 km/h … i dont like this
bike at all .. i think cbr 300 will be better option

J Ramos says:

entede tudo

laktix says:

I don’t see any point to this bikes, well it’s maybe my own view, seems
like i’ll continue my polluting of the world with my bright red Cagiva
Mito

Barami Snaeha says:

Some riders be able to get it up to 5.5-6 seconds I think DaveGPZ said that
in his review. Pretty fast for a beginner friendly motorcycle there is
really no competition in 500 class right now I heard that in my country we
selling both CBR500R and CB500F like hotcakes here! BUY IT! But I might
wait for the CB500X,that thing makes NC700X a serious run for its money!

Fernando Froehlich says:

dude… this guy ride like a learning kid with those fingers in the hand
levers… embarrassing… it just get my attention too much, sorry

tenzmoon says:

I was getting the ninja 300 until I saw the cbr500r. I’m going to be doing
all highway so it seems to be the ideal highway beginner bike.

thebigwarthog says:

the reason why its only 471cc and not 498 is because Honda made the CB400F
and CBR400R for the Japan market first and then they crammed the 471cc
engine into the same frame.

eddy2121 says:

Its called covering the brakes . Cuts reaction time.

touristguy87 says:

indeed as they say, it’s designed to satisfy the A2 requirements…don’t
expect much of it, but I’d still expect a bit more out of this bike than
the Ninja 300.

Applecart2000 says:

FFS stop saying driven.. is a bloody BIKE you RIDE a bike.. you DRIVE a
car. 🙂

asssface2000 says:

SMALL PENIS SYNDROME most guys i know are giant fat lard asses with zero
expirience and they think an 110 is too small for them lol

Chanon Wonglertniran says:

Because HONDA told us

Spaghettikid says:

It could be any camera, but it is filmed from their filming car because it
always stays vertical =]

David Richards says:

Its not designed for you, he says it’s designed for the new European wide
license system. Given its power and weight I would expect it to do the 1/4
mile about a second slower than the old Kawasaki GPZ500 which had 60bhp and
did it in 13.5, these have 47bhp (in europe)

Viggo Mortensen says:

This is a Great video!!! thanks! all the other videos on utube about this
bike suck

Nowell Holmes says:

THANKS for this quick review! Can’t wait to throw a leg over this model.
Currently riding a 2010 Shadow RS750. Most of my riding is commuting.
Thinking of the F or the X. i’m sure they’ll satisfy!

CAJFB says:

just watch it if you love bikes of course!

Evan Beck says:

Im planning on getting a honda as my first. im excited.

MrAnders1976 says:

It is a 471cc square engine (bore = stroke). Expect low revs and low end
torque, broad smooth powerband. It stills makes 100 hp/ liter.. That is not
that bad. The older 2006 kawasaki ninja 500r was a true 500cc (498cc),
oversquare engine (74″x 58″) and a redline at 11.000 rpm. The honda is
smoother and I bet has a better fuel economy..

Michael Mason says:

Nice Bikes

Simon Tilley says:

In some cases restrictor kits have caused problems to the engines in the
past plus also restrictor are not very popular these days.

MrSlowestD16 says:

Is it released for the app on iPad only? Or is it going to YT too…? I
don’t have an iPad, lol.

asssface2000 says:

1100

yzfarr 125 says:

cool

MCN - Motorcyclenews.com says:

Phil is 6’3″ and said that the bike fitted him fine – better than he
expected!

danbus06 says:

I’d still say the Suzuki sv650s would be a better 1st bike. Comes with clip
ons but a not so aggressive seating position. Perfect transition to a gsxr.

eddy2121 says:

Its called covering the brakes . Cuts reaction time.

ylism says:

That is just marketing hype…Did Honda tell you to also ?

dhawal meher says:

look how small they are…….inline 4 is the best………..cbr
500r….the worst…no double disc….no upside down forks…..wtf

Jeremy Alvarado says:

Me gusta

zalim62dentavsan says:

waiting for them to arrive

Guilherme Eduardo Campos Martins says:

Wish Honda released good value bikes in my market.

Dark611Shadow says:

Just buy an old 500, they’re a fraction of the price and probably more fun

Barami Snaeha says:

Not here in Thailand the risk of gray market used bikes are way too high
here our only option is either buying this 500 or 250 brand new.

Barami Snaeha says:

Everybody who reviewed it said that it’s a one of the best beginner bike
right now. You can get a CBR250R but if you doing a lot of highway speed
then 250 is not recommended. Even me seriously considering for CBR500R or
CB500X right now!

Ad Klompenmaker says:

I like the 500F too, it is a little street fighter! Can’t wait to do a test
run!

ylism says:

No One has rode a Honda CB500 R/F/X at 5 seconds flat on youtube, the
fastest is close to 5.3+, most are 5.5 to 6 seconds, maybe a 90 pounder
with good racing skill could. Where did you get your info ? I would like to
read, or see it. Would be nice though…lol Thats faster then most avg
cars.. Honda said the US & Canada, was to be a 54 BHP motor, and the rest
gets the 35KW version, not sure its true. Does it really matter..?

bakerXderek says:

LOL must be sad how your own comments on your own video are marked as spam

hello678999 says:

good review. man i want one of these!!

Nowell Holmes says:

I really enjoy the other reviewers. I love the bikes as well…

MrAnders1976 says:

Yes I think you are right… The 54 hp was a rumour. The engine is a 471cc
and square (Bore= stroke) with a moderate compression ratio 10.7:1. It
makes 43.7-44.5 hp on the dyno (backwheel) and a ~ 48 hp on the crank. I
like the F version more than the R which sportsbike looks are a bit
deceiving.

pjbadgersuw26 says:

What? The 500r does 0-100 in 5-6 seconds and the 250r usually does it in 8+.

Hamish Kilpatrick says:

Can I just say the improvement of the mcn videos over the last 6 months is
impressive keep it.
