2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo: The Fastest Yet! – Ignition Ep. 118
On this episode of Ignition, presented by Universal Technical Institute, Carlos Lago tests the new Nissan GT-R Nismo, the most powerful and best-handling GT-R available. Packing 600 hp courtesy of new turbo chargers, new suspension components, and sensible tuning, this GT-R has the capability to chart new performance records for Nissan. Using instrumented testing, a trip to a closed proving grounds & hot laps around Streets of Willow race track with pro driver Randy Pobst, we'll find out just how fast this extremely limited machine can be.

launch control = Japanese win (GTR)
Handling = Japanese win (GT-R)
reability = Japanese win
AC = Japanese win
Saftey = German
Good looking = German
Tech = German
Plastic and Garbage = American
every year it becomes fast, ugly and more expensive
After losing to the Porsche I will never look at it the same way. All this
extra BHP and a few spoilers won’t cut it for me anymore. GTR I’m
disappointed each year they release with more power but it never seems to
be any faster than the previous a bit like Apple.
It’s so funny. Whenever people think a GT-R is slower than another car they
won’t wait a second to start bashing it, yet when the numbers are there
proving it’s actually faster, they start nit-picking just so they don’t
have to admit that it’s better on track than all the other vehicles tested.
so this is the elegy in gta 5? and fucking rocksar makes this beast car
free in the game
This thing will smash the ass of those American Corvette’s and Camaro’s

The new GODGILLA is awesome once again !!
My beautiful girlfriend… (*^3(*^o^*)
My 2010 Camaro SS can dust this peace of shit.
you pay 50k more for an half sec faster performance around the track, nice
job nissan, you definitely fooled those masturbate masters who plays games
24hours a day…
It would take plastic surgery to get rid of the smile on his face. Can’t
blame him.
Has no one noticed that the commentator looks like Paul Walker?
This GT-R is going far away from the old highest performance per dollar
premise it had, it’s too expensive to be the “affordable supercar”, i’ll
wait for the C7 ZR1.
Anybody. What’s the price on this one now? Is it under $150,000?
Nissan should offer a bare bones GT-R at $49,999. They’re going to lose
their market share. I don’t see many 370Zs anymore.
It’s not spelled ‘Ni-saarn. It’s a double consonant, ”ssan” fucking use
it!
I think I’m going to put myself on the waiting list for this car.
GTR MSRP is $101,770_0-60 is 2.7 and quarter mile is 11.0 AWD 545HP/463TQ
Nismo GTR MSRP is $149,990_0-60 is 2.9 and quarter mile
is 11.1 AWD 600HP/481TQ (Bit slower due to added downforce)
C7 Z06 MSRP is $78,990_0-60 is 2.9 and quarter mile is
10.9 RWD 650HP/650TQ
(Conclusion C7 Z06 is superior….Let the butthurt
begin)
whats the benefit of the titanium exhaust ?
I guess Freddie Prinze Jr. does car reviews now?
Nice car but why don’t you ever have negative to say about any cars you
guys test ???
i would take this over a ferrari or lamborghini.
Roman Soldiers?
Nis-un… not knee-sun
This thing is a monster!

Can someone buy me a gtr… Any really any will do
For the price i would rather have and srt viper TA
Challenge the Hennessy venom get
It’s……$170,000 now….? I mean….c’mon.
Did the Japanese learn nothing from the tragic deaths of all their sports
cars in the late 1990’s? They priced themselves completely out of the
ballgame, and lost sight of what people who buy these cars really wanted,
and put on technological showcases instead.
Titanium exhaust….?? Kiss my ass.
#NissanGTR
I’ve been a believer since 2009.!

Having this car is better than having best 2 grls in the world same time.If
there were 3 girls…hummm…
The stability control is so damn awesome. I reviewed the effectiveness of
GTRs stability control. It’s a RWD and an AWD in same time. The amount of
force and the timing of its stability control is just right. won’t brake
individual wheels too late or too soft. It’s hard to oversteer a GTR unless
you enter a corner over the speed limits. Coz whenever they try to power
oversteer a GTR, the traction control brakes the rear wheel, the stability
control brake the outside wheels so early and if you did a mild
power oversteer, the AWD pull the tail straight instantly. One thing I have
to point out is that the GTR Nismo will push mainly due to weight, secondly
due to the stability control. When a car turn, it’ll bank to the out side
due to law of physics, the inside is lighter than the outside, while
stability control applied at both inside wheels, the tire may not get the
grip and coz understeer at the rear and push at the front. Weight did
really kill the GTR if you think deeper. However, the GTR Nismo’s ATTEAS ET
S AWD did work with the yaw rate sensor which monitor the slip angle of the
car an avoid as much understeering as possible.
The McLaren is different. The stability control will brake the rear wheel
for steering sharpness. That gain better front end steering respond (more
personal) and less push. They both got similar grip from tires but the
McLaren is faster by greater power per tonne and lighter for better turn in
speed. Love them both!!
The GTR Nismo turbochargers sounds like a Supra too.
$170k GTR is only 3sec faster than a $40k Camaro. lmao
3.8L twin turbo making 600hp is impressive. Well balance platform
one thing they should find..better aerodynamics and design
Maybe next time use the Production Version instead of the Track Pack wich
isnt on sale

Quero 2
Oh wow it looks exactly the same as it did a million years ago when the
first one came out! The just keep cloning the same car.
This car is totally and utterly gay
0-60mph slower by .2 than the non nismo GTR? Why is that?
nee-san
MY WEEKEND CAR. THIS CAR IS THE BOMB.
I’d rather have a sports car that looks cool. This thing looks like an
econo sedan.
Somehow I knew Carlos was a member of the PC Master Race.
